Tom is the former chief financial officer at Prologis. As CFO, he was responsible for worldwide corporate finance including treasury, cash management, financial planning and reporting, accounting, tax, investor relations and internal audit. In addition to those responsibilities as CFO, Mr. Olinger oversaw the roll-up of forecasted real estate operating results and metrics globally. He chaired the company’s Global Operating Committee that reviews Prologis’ progress against business plans and objectives.

Prior to assuming the CFO role in May 2012, Mr. Olinger served as Prologis’ chief integration officer, overseeing information technology and the implementation of best-practice processes and procedures related to the merger of AMB Property Corporation and ProLogis.

From 2007 to 2011, Mr. Olinger served as AMB’s chief financial officer. Prior to joining AMB in 2007, he served as vice president, corporate controller at Oracle Corporation, where he was responsible for global accounting, external reporting, technical accounting, global revenue recognition, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and finance merger and acquisition integration. Mr. Olinger was also responsible for Oracle’s controllership operations in Bangalore, India; Dublin, Ireland; Sydney, Australia; and Rocklin, California. Prior to this, Mr. Olinger spent 14 years at Arthur Andersen, the last three as an audit partner in its U.S. real estate and technology groups.

Since January 2011, Mr. Olinger has served as a director of the American Assets Trust, a real estate investment trust investing in retail, office and residential properties. Since January 2023, Mr. Olinger has also served as a director of Equinix, a real estate investment trust specializing in digital infrastructure and data centers. 

Mr. Olinger received a Bachelor of Science in finance, with distinction, from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
